Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge was built by Joseph B. Strauss, and it is the gate to the bay of San Francisco. The Bridge is 2,8 km long and 25 meters wide. The traffic cones are 227m in height and they both have a distance of 1.28km to each other. The bridge was completed on April 19, 1937 and it opened for traffic on May 28, 1937. The bridge is still modernized once in a while to protect it against possible upcoming earthquakes.

Lombard Street
It is called the most curvaceous street in the world, and it is so pretty with it flowers around it. With it a decline of 27 percent, the streets had to be built with serpentines.

Transamerica Pyramid
The Transamerica Pyramid skyscraper in the financial district is a typical landmark in the city of San Francisco. The premises were built in 1960 and it was completed in 1972. However, tourists are not allowed on the premises.

Mission Dolores
It is the oldest building in San Francisco built October 9, 1776 by Padre Junipero Serra. It is one of the only buildings which outlasted earthquakes almost unscathed. In 1958, scenes for Alfred Hitchcock’s movie Vertigo were partly shot there.

Presidio
Presidio was built at the same time Mission Dolores was built. From 1776 to 1994 it was one of the most important military bases at the west coast, located at the Golden Gate. Today this hilly landscape is an industrial park and residential area. It also is home for several film and television companies like Lucas film.
